Only amateur photographers use direct flash. You are not an amateur photographer anymore if you pass this course.


Whenever you see a white ceiling or white wall in a dark environment, you should think about bouncing your flash. Well, if you do not forget bringing your flash.

  Flash can help you reproduce the natural lighting without the danger of slow shutter shaking and high ISO noise.


Watch out the color of the wall you bounce to!

Or you can purposely bounce to a green wall to create a green color light.

Let the camera's exposure combination setting take care of the background exposure.
Let the TTL flash take care of the foreground subject.

Measure and set the background exposure setting. Set the camera in M mode. Bounce flash to the ceiling to light up the indoor shadow areas.
